get out the map...

We decided to beat the crowds before Labor Day and head to Point Reyes. We strapped Océanne on the front, packs on the back and hiked in 8 miles to a lush, woodsy campground. Practically had the entire park to ourselves and Océanne was totally into the long, shady hike with some picturesque nursing spots along the way... it's so beautiful up there.

Suddenly three's a crowd... We'll get a bigger tent someday!

Cozy at night in layers of fleece...

Mission accomplished, back at the trailhead...

a week with nana!

My mom was in town to help out while Sarah recovered from shoulder surgery. It's pretty nice that we're on the every-other-month visit schedule considering we're on opposite ends of the country. Sarah is doing very well and Anna is being amazing and gentle, she knows not to tug on the sling, pretty good for a toddler!

sophie la girafe...

Rachel was in town from Seattle and gave Océanne a wonderful little girafe. It's so fun to see her start to respond to toys now. I have a feeling this will be one of her favorites, she doesn't want to let go!

getting passport(s) ready...

Getting ready for winter in Courchevel and this lucky lady gets a French *and* US passport. We have our appointment tomorrow at the French consulate... taking an infant passport photo is a challenge!

14 weeks... "talking" up a storm!

Modeling a cute, summery Argentine outfit from Mariana. Océanne has really discovered her voice this past week... she'll go on and on, we LOVE it... She is definitely a very *girly* baby and
her voice is like a teeny bird.
