fais-lui une bise...

I'm glad I had my camera on for this!! I think all of our hearts melted watching these two play... they are so sweet together! We spent a great Sunday at home with our friends, Daniela, Patrick and Leon... Océanne and Leon obviously love each other - but we've always known that!

come and knock on our door!

A great new word since my last post: bisous! (kisses), followed by a kiss. Just as I put O to bed tonight, she was throwing me kisses from bed while "singing" bisous... so cute!

Yuba has a wonderful new office in the Sausalito Shipyard. It's a great workshop with tons of character... used during World War II to build Liberty Ships. The environment is an eclectic place with neighbors from all walks of life... boat builders, architects, carpenters, artists, etc. Perfect for Ben and his bikes!

18 months... un an et demi!

Wow... our baby is a year and a half! So many changes lately... and so many words suddenly! In her vocab: happy, cat, shoes, chaussures, socks, toot, up, tout doux, pup pup, and of course her own special versions of a few: thank you, bye bye, bless you, bird, book... Pretty good considering she's being raised in a bilingual household! She likes to sing (her own little tunes) while she's playing and she loves to unload dishes and laundry, mommy's little helper! She's really into bellybuttons and is an adventurous monkey who climbs on pretty much everything... scary! Her hair is blonder and her eyes are greener... She loves waving hello and goodbye to people, which always makes our walks more fun! She loves a few books before bed and is still loyal to Bob Marley... She loves being outside and opening the shades and curtains in the morning... She's a little vegetarian and a fruit connoisseur... We'll get her stats this week when we go to the Doctor, but O remains a dainty little flower, très petit! Overall, at 18 months, I would classify Miss Océanne as the happy baby she's been since the moment we met! Toddlerhood, here she comes...

happy halloween!!

Happy Halloween from our little Goldfish (or as some people thought: Chicken!). Either way, O was decked out for the Sausalito Halloween Parade. She's been cutting some new molars and was a little on the tired side this weekend, but totally perked up once we saw so many friends and neighbors marching down Calendonia Street - we love our small town on the bay! (Thank you Anna for the great costume - click here - for a fish-flashback!)

cat lady!

Océanne has learned to be very gentle with the cats and Ezra is pretty much a big poofy teddy bear (Zoe always runs the other way). We can tell our little girl is an animal lover!
