spooning...

Taking an extra long nap with her favorite "cuddly" spoon! She prefers the red one these days...

daddy's little girl...

She just didn't want to let go this morning!

now that's a mouthful...

My little chipmunk with some bagel in her mouth!

un grand sourire...

it might be tiny...

...but it's her *first* ponytail! It even stayed in during a windy afternoon walk to the beach with Marcie and Cole. Oooh... I'm so ready for braids!

helmet head!

She's not quite ready for her fancy blue bike helmet... we'll have to stick with the "small" one a bit longer!

océanne and khai khai

Suemi, Khai and Viv came over for a nice Sunday brunch... We made yummy waffles followed by a walk to my own slice of heaven and Sausalito institution: Heath Ceramics

go cherie!

Ben paddled on Saturday morning in a big Surfski competition right in our hometown, Sausalito. It was a little on the chilly side in the morning, but turned into a gorgeous day. Ben did really well, placing 5th overall in the short course. I wasn't able to get any action shots... need a better lense to capture these skinny boats way out in the bay... Here are some foggy shots from the put in... There were about 50 competitors getting warmed up and ready for the start, along with a bunch of goofy sea lions rolling around!

en robée...

Pretty French sundress from Alsace...

Océanne's latest "dou dou!" She's been eating with it, playing with it... even sleeping with it (spooning)!! It hasn't left her grip for days...

Chilling in her room... and yes the bookshelf is attached to the wall... we're in earthquake territory - touch wood!

how 'bout a cold one?

Waking up after a good long nap to her favorite spoon and a nice cup of milk...

sailing!

Océanne and Cole asleep and wrapped on their mamas!

We were invited to Mr. Cole's home (which happens to be a magnificent 66' sailboat!) with a bunch of other friends for a sail around the Bay on Friday... what a gorgeous day!

Havana keeps an eye on everyone on board!

furry bath toy!

Our cat Ezra LOVES water and actually used to be able to turn on the faucet in our previous apartment...

tennessee valley...

Little Miss Deuter Kid Comfort #1 and #2 out for an afternoon hike!

forget the sprinkler...

...just bust out the plain hose! O had so much fun last weekend with Otto (the other little Sarrazin in San Francisco!) playing in the park on our street... she was running back and forth, right into the jet stream of water!

little accordion...

But of course our little 1/2 Frenchie loves her newest musical instrument!

a little video: 15 months!

Océanne at 15 months... she's a great eater, sleeper, and just plain fun to hang out with! We're working on some type of napping transition (meaning she's not consistently interested in closing her eyes during daylight!), but I'm sure that will be sorted soon enough. She has 8 pretty little teeth, a dimple on each cheek, and some little curls kicking out from the ends of her hair.

On her plate: lots of eggs, clementines, spinach, pears, tortellini, strawberries...

On the stereo: Frances England, Ziggy Marley, Elizabeth Mitchell, Rondes Et Comptines Des Animaux... man, there are some great children's albums out there, Ben and I love them too!

On the go: running around the beach, going anywhere in the pack, getting into everything imaginable, playing in her tupperware drawer, putting the cat food into their water bowl, dancing, twirling, making us smile :)

Spreading the O-Magik!

bear backpack...

Océanne toting her little friend along after some breakfast... Thanks (great-grandma!) Nana Joanie :)

who's your daddy?!

Océanne definitely missed her daddy while he was in China!

pretty afternoon light...

les chats gentils...

I know, I'm always taking pictures of my baby... so I thought I'd finally give a shout out to our cats! I've had Ezra for 9 years and Zoe for 13... and really, these two furballs have been nothing but amazing and patient since O's arrival...
