Océanne loves being held like this... notice the nice grip she has now, she carried the letter "H" the entire time Ben watered our garden last night... it's the little things!
Some photos from Michel taken today. Océanne seems much more aware of her surroundings this week... sucking on her hands... holding her head up a bit... cooing, chirping and smiling here and there! She had a big Sunday, finally meeting Michel, Heather, Lisa, Guy, Sigrid, Marc, Damara, and Quinn!
We took a brief trip just past Napa to beautiful *clothing optional* Harbin Hot Springs... Océanne seemed to enjoy a night of camping in a meadow under a magnificent full moon, she slept very well! The three of us were pretty cozy packed in our backpacker's tent, still covered in playa dust from Burning Man, I guess we'll need to eventually upsize... The pools felt great, Ben and I tag-teamed holding Océanne in the shade while one of us relaxed in the water... We can already tell she's into the great outdoors!
We celebrated Ben's first Father's Day by planting my placenta with a beautiful little meyer lemon tree for Océanne. We're keeping it in a pot so we can take it with us someday and eventually put it in the ground. The freezer is finally meat-free again! It was amazing to actually take a good look at what was her life line while in utero, but our stomachs will be much happier looking at a lovely lemon tree!
