Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers

the eagle has landed...

After 39 years of flying (navy + airlines), my dad has retired! His final trip was to London and mom was along for the ride. Wish we could have been there for the big bash in NC last weekend, but we'll have another celebration when they're out for Thanksgiving. From now on he's a passenger... and can even grow a beard if he wants! I'm so proud of his hard work and safe flights over so many years.

six months! six mois!

A little hike at Muir Beach on a foggy Sunday... Wearing the hat we bought for Anna after paddling the Cotahuasi in Peru. Little did we know our own peanut would be wearing it a year and a half later!

Our little Octopus from the Océanne

multi-tasking...

*Life is good* as a full-time mom working from home... on a laptop, while on the phone... while nursing a baby... topped off with a curled up cat! The reality is that I get most of my work done at night when O is asleep... I'm getting some amazing dark circles under my eyes, but it's worth it.

anticipating the arrival of...

On November 4, we'll know who our next president is (vote for change!) as well as who is tucked inside Annie's belly (maybe earlier... maybe later)! O and I had a nice Saturday hanging out with her in our old stomping grounds, Cole Valley.

Ben's good friends, Guillaume and Elodie, were visiting from Lyon, France the past 2 weekends (and touring California and Nevada in between).

This is from an afternoon hike in Muir Woods last Thursday... Océanne's new thing is to lick fabric!?!

5 months... c'est impossible!

Five months... how did that happen?! So many changes, so many new noises and giggles... She now squeals every time she sees the cats (who have been excellent with her since day one, phew!). Our little peanut is in the 15th percentile and our pediatrician is very impressed with her muscle tone... born with biceps! Here's a video of Ezra and I coming in after a nap... along with some other "day in the life of Océanne" moments... fortunately, Ben has very thick hair!

On a Yuba-note... Ben had great success at Interbike last week, check out these clips:
