hiking in the sierras...

We just got back from a relaxing 4 day trip to Truckee (Lake Tahoe). We stayed at Guy and Sigrid's cozy cabin and saw Marc, Damara, Quinn, Lilian, Laurence, Sabine and Saskia, Sarah, Todd and Anna! Ben was able to get lots of mountain biking in and we lucked out with beautiful weather and some amazing fall color. These shots were from a hike we did yesterday (on our second wedding anniversary!), at about 6400 feet with gorgeous Aspens all around. Océanne is quite the little mountaineer!

17 months today: Bridge to Bridge!

Océanne's first race! And my first since the Nike Marathon '05, was it really that long ago? What a gorgeous day to run a 12k from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate. My little running buddy was a trooper and I hit my goal: not to hit any fellow runners with the jogging stroller! Ben was along for support and we ran with Kristin (Mati was cheering with her daddy!). Kristin and I ran cross country and track together at Dearborn High (Dearborn, Michigan), so it was fun to hit the pavement together again!
