le grand bleu, la mer méditerranée!

Ahhhh! La plage! Le soleil! Nos pieds dans le sable! What a treat to take a trip to the sea last week. We stayed at a little hotel on the beach, exploring Montpellier in the Languedoc, stopping in l'Isle Sur La Sorgue in Provence on the way back to the mountains... warm and beautiful!

o loves margot and charlotte!

We visited Celine, Manu and the girls in the gorgeous village of Saou in the Drôme region of France on our way south. Océanne was in heaven playing with Margot and Charlotte, she misses them already!

en cette journée printanière...

Tignes is on the other side of the mountain...

Spring has sprung! Pussy Willow...

Saturday was perfect for a nice hike down the valley in Champagny, followed by a lovely dinner at Virginie and Manu's house... We're loving this "spring" weather, but more snow is on the way! Océanne is starting to grow our of her snow suits and I think we're all ready to shed a few layers!!

bisous!

she kisses *us* now!

all she wants to do is stand!

Still teeny tiny and scooting upright along anything she can hold onto, we have some more babyproofing to do, she can't open these sticky drawers... yet!

Petite Crevette... as Ben adoringly calls her!

comme un poisson dans l'eau!

While the guys worked the slopes, Jenn and I grabbed our little girls and headed to the pool in Meribel. At 10 months, today was Océanne's first "swim," she absolutely loved being in the water... She was especially interested in splashing... I think there's some whitewater in this little girl's future?! Thank you so much Sarah for sending the bathing suits!

Her teeny toes pruned... she could have stayed all day.

I've never had one of these in my beachbag before!

Océanne's English friend, Ruby, with the pretty blue eyes...

beaucoup de neige, Val Thorens!

Yesterday we visited Cedric, Sophie, Andréa and William on holiday in Val Thorens... 2 valleys over, 2300m, it's one of the highest ski resorts in the world and has the lack of trees and massive amount of snow to prove it, beautiful!
