Our little mountaineer on her first official summit! Mount Lassen is the lowest part of the Cascade Range in gorgeous Lassen Volcanic National Park (that's Mount Shasta in the background). Fortunately for us, O still loves traveling in the pack! The following day we did a 15 mile hike along part of the Pacific Crest Trail and to some of the serene alpine lakes near camp... with lots of breaks of course! After 3 days in Lassen we lowered our elevation and headed to the North Fork of the Feather River for a warmer night before heading home. O loved every second outdoors and had a hard time going to sleep in her own bed!
